1/ Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and gardens in Saint Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Beautiful from the outside with the French gardens. But also Spanish for an oriental touch. Florentine for the Italian, Japanese with the exotic stone garden and finally the local Provençal garden. All these make this place very special, offering a large spectre of all things beautiful – your eyes will not know where to look!

2/Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice

In the heart of Nice, the MAMAC with its original architecture offers 10 exhibitions. 1300 art works and more than 300 artists ranging from European New Realism, American collage and pop art. On the roof you’ll discover a panoramic terrace with views over the whole city making the museum one of the most important ones on the French Riviera. And it has never been easier to educate your children – entrance is free for minors!

3/ Matisse Museum Nice

The Cimiez quarter harbours the Matisse museum a few meters from the old arenas, worth a separate visit. In this Genovese villa from the 18th century you will enter the lively and colourful world of Henri Matisse – through each room you will find all aspects of this 20th century artist: the painter, the drawer, the sculptor and the engraver. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit, and entrance is of course free for minors – enjoy!

4/ Marc Chagall museum in Nice

This museum is dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall, a Belarusian artist. And more precisely his 17 paintings related to the Bible. Two halls filled with his work. The museum is built as a private house with a big Mediterranean garden, showing that the Riviera has more to offer than just the sea!

5/ The Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation

Founded in 1964 on the majestic hills of St Paul de Vence, this museum has one of Europe’s most important collections of modern and contemporaryart, graphic work and sculptures. This private collection organises themed and contemporary exhibitions every year and is an unmissable element for any museum and art lover.
