The 7 essential rules to help you prepare your holiday on the French Riviera !

The French Riviera is a dream destination that enchants those who decide to try the experience. The beauty of its landscapes awakens the senses and promotes a sense of well-being: beaches just perfect for relaxation, green forests and valleys for fabulous hiking, the luxury of its finest hotels and the prestige of its festivals make it one of the premier destinations during the summertime.

So you’ve decided to choose the French Riviera for your holidays and give this unique experience a try? Excellent choice…
But how should you prepare for your stay? What are the pitfalls to be avoided?

Riviera Holiday Homes offers you 7 simple but essential rules to make your Riviera holiday a success.

1/ Reserve your holiday on the French Riviera far in advance

The French Riviera is a highly sought-after destination for the summer holidays, so if you wish to visit during this season, it is essential to reserve early. Start by learning about the different cities on the Riviera as early as the month of February: Nice, Villefranche sur Mer, Antibes, Menton… Each city on the Riviera has its own charm and each one will entice you with its beauty, its colours and its culture.

2/ Select the location of your rental according to your needs

Once you’ve worked out your destination, think about reserving your apartment or villa according to your priorities and your needs. While on holiday you, like us, want to get the full benefit of your stay without any mishaps or rude surprises.

If you want to be in the city centre with all its activities, choose a rental at the very heart of Nice. If you prefer to be in the countryside, opt for rentals of villas in the areas surrounding Nice.
And if its access to the seashore you’re craving so you can walk to the beach, reserve, for example, a rental close to the Promendade des Anglais with its panoramic view of the sea.

The choice of your holiday rental will depend also on the number of people travelling with you.

Will you take your holiday as a couple, with the whole family, amongst friends?

Opt for an apartment in the city if romance is your goal and you want to be able to go out in the evening, or a get-away-from-it-all villa if you want to party with friends or just get a good rest with your family!

3/ Ensure peace of mind by selecting a top-quality rental in line with your expectations

When renting a holiday villa or apartment, there’s always a bit of apprehension at the moment when you first lay eyes on the home you’ve been so looking forward to.

Who has never been disappointed to find their holiday rental dirty or unkempt?
Or with unsuitable amenities? Or noise that wasn’t mentioned as one of the options, and so on?

You’ve got to be able to have confidence in the choice of your holiday lodgings if you wish to avoid those kinds of nasty surprises…

So, well in advance, think carefully about the kinds of amenities you require: Will you need a crib for the baby? A high-chair? Bed linens?

Don’t overload your luggage…
Just make sure the things you need are available upon arrival.

For all its villa and apartment rentals, Riviera Holiday Homes offers all the bed and bath linens you’ll need! And if you need any special equipment, we can include it so that your holidays run without a hitch. Our offices are in the centre of the city of Nice and our team is at your disposal to ensure quality service.

4/ Opt for made-to-measure services in order to fully benefit from your holidays

You’ve been looking forward to them and really want to enjoy them with complete peace of mind…
Our tip: opt for ease and security.

You’ll be arriving by plane and would like a ride to your rental?
You’ll be arriving late and won’t have time to fill the fridge for tomorrow’s breakfast?
You’ll be travelling with your children but you’d like to have a romantic night out or one with friends and will need a babysitter?

Riviera Holiday Homes offers custom-tailored services and helps you to get the most out of your holidays with complete confidence and peace of mind.

5/ Prepare your holiday programme in advance

There are so many things to do and see while on holiday on the French Riviera…

This region is a veritable goldmine: the sea, mountains, picturesque villages, water parks, hikes in the Mercantour National Park…

Find out about all the activities available on the French Riviera prior to your departure in order to plan a programme that is fully in line with your expectations and that will occupy the whole family or satisfy all your friends!

6/ Put some thought into how you’ll get around when you come to the Riviera and think about where you’ll want to go
